The 2017 Bond Program included construction of a new early childhood and K-5 elementary school facility along with additions and remodeling of all District buildings. Bond funding was sold in three series.
- 2017 Bond Program:
- The new May V. Peck Elementary School (63,400 sf) has a three-wing layout with one wing for early childhood, another wing for grades K-3, and a separate wing for grades 4-5. Outstanding features of the new building include:
- Two secure front entrances with offices that separate the early childhood and elementary programs.
- Outdoor classroom space in the center of the building
- Media center with two adjacent maker space classrooms
- Expansive computer lab
- Integrated restrooms in PK through grade 3 classrooms
- Large multi-purpose space with stage area, cafeteria space, full kitchen, and gymnasium
- Expansive site with two play areas and well-planned traffic patterns
- Extensive remodeling and expansion at Center Line High School
- Additions and renovations at middle school and elementary schools
